Minimum Wage Bill to Be Introduced

Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto announced last week that he and Assemblyman John Wisniewski plan to introduce legislation to raise the statewide minimum wage to $15 an hour

New Jersey last raised its minimum wage to $8.25 an hour in January 2014 after voters approved a constitutional amendment. In 2015, the wage rose by 13 cents due to an automatic increase based on the Consumer Price Index.
