U.S. DOL on Worker Classification
The U.S. Department of Labor's Recent Interpretive Guidance on Worker Classification

Most people think of the IRS as the governmental agency that enforces worker classification disputes and the 20 factor test to determine "who controls the means and manner" of the work is well known. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has its own criteria for determining whether individuals should be classified as employees or independent contractors.
