Minimum Wage Bill

A coalition of New Jersey business groups announced on February 26 that they're launching a campaign against Democratic-backed efforts in the state to raise the minimum wage, mandate paid sick leave and constitutionally require hefty contributions to government worker pensions.

The state and local business/industry groups will work together to raise funds for the campaign and to help improve New Jersey's broader business climate.

Souls4Souls Charity Fundraiser

"Our CEO, Michael Epstein, was looking for an opportunity to partner with a charity organization during the 2015 Holiday Season 2015 for CoWorx Staffing Services' first ever company-wide community service effort. One of the first organizations that he thought of was Soles4Souls. He had learned of S4S when the NJSA partnered with S4S for a shoe drive in 2014. Our shoe drive took place November 30th and went until Jan 8th.  Michael issued a huge challenge to the entire company -- a collection goal of 10,000 pairs of shoes.  Upon reaching that goal, Soles4Souls would allow CoWorx to choose the organization or community where the donations would be distributed. Michael also issued a challenge to the President and CEO of Soles4Souls, Buddy Teaster. If we hit our goal of 10,000 pairs, Buddy would have to come to our Annual Sales Kick-Off Meeting in Boston this past January.  Buddy gladly accepted Michael's challenge and also threw in something else...Buddy said that if CoWorx hit its goal of 10,000 shoes, he would not only come to the meetin,g but he would also run a 10k in Boston for us.

Challenges were accepted on both sides!  62 CoWorx Staffing Service locations participated and at the end of the shoe drive not only did CoWorx hit the goal of 10,000, it surpassed it with the final total of 13,487!  Buddy came to the Kick-Off meeting and also ran a 10k for us. Buddy was accompanied by some CoWorx Runners too including myself."
