Kathy Warren, President of Bryant Staffing and President of the NJSA Board of Directors, was presented with the 2010 Staffing Industry Award for her dedicated service to the NJSA.

04/22/2010 — New HIRE Act Information Available for Staffing Firms

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service released Form W-11, the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act Employee Affidavit. The Form W-11 affidavit is available at /irs.gov http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw11.pdf along with answers to frequently asked questions.

11/20/2009 — NJSA Annual Conference Keynote Speakers

Keynote and workshop speakers Jeff Kaye, Rob Mosely and Neil Lebovits were rated 5+ by the majority of attendees. "The speakers were high level and inspired attendees to be motivated for a better 2010 business year," said Kathy Warren (Bryant Staffing), NJSA President. 11/19/2009 — Annual Conference WrapUp

80 staffing professionals from 37 firms attended the NJSA Annual Conference on October 29 at the Sheraton Edison Hotel. Reactions from the attendees were extremely positive with many stating this was the best educational conference ever by NJSA. "Our staff really enjoyed the day. Sheila Ellis of Joule Staffing Solutions was selected as NJSA's 2009 Employee of the Year. Sheila was presented with her award at the association's Annual Conference on Thursday, October 29 at the Sheraton Edison Hotel

11/19/2009 — Sylvia Draculin, Runner Up Employee of the Year

Selected as the Employee of the Year Runner-Up was Sylvia Draculin of Joule Technical Staffing at the NJSA Annual Conference on October 29, 2009.

11/13/2009 — NJSA/STAFFING NJ PAC GET OUT AND VOTE CAMPAIGN

The "Get Out And Vote" Campaign was successful in helping to improve the NJ voter turnout to 45% at this year's election. Thanks to those members who participated in the campaign.

10/02/2009 — NJSA White Paper on Crew Leaders

Over the past few months, there has been a significant increase in publicity surrounding organizations that were purported to be “staffing firms” or “temporary labor firms” when in fact they were not. The NJSA Board and Legislative Committee felt a clarification was needed to help educate the public and our elected officials on the difference between our members and the businesses that are registered as “Crew Leaders” or in some cases, not registered at all.

To help clarify the issue and provide a better understanding of the organizations that NJSA represents, a brief White Paper on this issue is available for you to download.
