What's On Your Mind?

As you have read in recent Monday Morning Memos, we have completed a series of focus groups which were conducted in order to discover how NJSA can best serve our members. One initiative that was identified as a result of these focus groups was to enhance the collegial relationship among members by presenting a forum that encourages communication and sharing of ideas. To accomplish this, we are planning to reinstitute our regionalized Breakfast Clubs networking groups beginning in the Fall.

In order to make these meetings as productive as possible, we are asking our members to let us know what issues and concerns are on their minds. What would you like to discuss with, or find out more about from, other members?

Our plan is to develop a list of topics that are top of mind with members and each month one or two of these topics will be the focus at the breakfast meetings. Please let us know your ideas and issues by responding to our Question of the Week with your topic suggestions.

Thanks for your help!

Kathy Warren

Health Care Reform Strategy - Roadmap to 2014

August 12, 2010

8:00 am to 10:00 am

Sheraton Edison Hotel

In 2011, the new health care bill will make changes focused mostly on preparing for later updates. The new health care bill will set up a long-term care insurance program and the fine on withdrawing funds from a Health Savings Account for non-medical expenses will increase by 5 to 10 percent. Employers will also need to start including the cost of health care on employee's W-2 forms.

Our speaker is Joseph Torella, President of the Employee Benefits Division at HUB International Northeast, a leading insurance brokerage firm, will give you a much-needed perspective on the health care environment of today as well as the trends and metrics you need to know for the future.

NJSA Golf Outing September 23
The 2010 NJSA Golf Outing will one again be held at the Fox Hollow Golf Club in Branchburg, New Jersey on Thursday, September 23, 2010 and we look forward to having you join us once again this year.

The NJSA Golf Outing is a great way to reward employees for a job well done and the perfect environment for networking with customers and colleagues. This year's event will be held at the beautiful Fox Hollow Golf Club, voted one of the one of the top northeast private golf course by readers of Garden State Golf in 2005. We will have a putting contest and competition for the "Staffing Cup" - and bragging rights as the tournament's winning foursome for 2010. We are very pleased to have Zurich as our grand tournament sponsor again this year and they will present the Staffing Cup to this year's winners. Our 2009 winner, Two River Benefits, displayed the trophy in their offices this past year.

Please take a moment to think about becoming a sponsor. There are numerous opportunities to support the event and get your corporate logo in front of NJSA members and clients. Over 60 staffing firm golfers played last year...we want to get to 100!

Please click here for a golf registration brochure. We look forward to seeing you in September! Call 973-283-0072 for sponsorship information or if you have any questions. We're looking forward to a great golf time!
