Long Term Impact Caused by Bill A2354/S785 - Statewide Paid Sick Leave 

Several New Jersey business organizations are already on record regarding this proposed legislation mandating statewide Paid Sick Leave. The New Jersey Staffing Alliance ("NJSA") would like to offer its comments and views regarding this bill for consideration by the sponsors as well as the committees and Assembly as a whole.

NJSA is opposed to this proposed legislation for the following three reasons:

• The Legislature should NOT pass legislation that makes New Jersey even more uncompetitive for economic growth
• State mandated Paid Sick Leave Legislation will hurt New Jersey's Major Job Creator - Small Business
• State and local governments should not be mandating minimum employer paid fringe benefit programs on New Jersey employers
